We are open 7 days a week.
Monday-Friday:  8am-10pm
Weekends & Holidays:  10am-6pm
*Outside of these hours, we always have a pharmacist available and on-call to handle your after hours emergency needs.

 


PHARMACY

1 How do you package your medications?

Packaged MedicationWe offer at least three different dispensing formats based upon your preference:
- Traditional Dram Vials
- Blister Punch Cards
- Multi-dose

 

 

2 How does insurance factor in with medications?

Upon admission into a Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living Community, or Care Home, it is usual and customary for the staff to fax admission paperwork to us. At that time, we will bill the medications if applicable through the insurance plan and depending on which type of facility it is, assess the co-pays to a credit card on file or send out an itemized statement at the end of the month.

 


DME

1 What is DME?

DME is an acronym for Durable Medical Equipment. It is a term used to describe certain medical equipment that is ordered by a doctor for use in the home. In most cases, DME should be covered if you are Medicare eligible.

 

2 What is included in the DME category?

Durable Medical Equipment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Diabetic supplies
  • Canes, crutches, walkers
  • Commode chairs
  • Home oxygen equipment
  • Hospital beds (fully & semi-automatic)
  • Patient Lifts
  • Power Operated Vehicles (POVs or scooters)
  • Respiratory Care (Oxygen & breathing treatments)

3 How does Medicare coverage/reimbursement work for DME?

Medicare pays for different kinds of durable medical equipment in different ways. Some equipment must be rented, other equipment must be purchased. Please contact us directly at 602-252-1299 for more details.

 

4 What items does Safety Drugs carry in stock?

Safety Drugs is a Medicare-certified provider of DME and supplies. We offer a wide selection of products and carry many of those products in stock. In addition, we will assist with the billing process through Medicare and/or supplemental insurances. Please contact us directly at 602-252-1299 for more details.
